New Firefly songs, last 2 SoCal shows before European tour and fun stuffs!

  Hey!

I wanted to send this email sooner but the Bruins were engaged in an epic triple overtime game with the Blackhawks that didn't end as it should have.*

So we have a new Firefly song up for sharing. We think it's pretty bad ass. (For Firefly Song Info Click Here) The new song is called "Nothing" and it’s inspired by the episode “Bushwhacked.” Enjoy! I had a friend tell me that it sounded like Tom Petty in space. That's pretty cool. We had some great help on drums by Brian Matteson and Matt Froehlich on percussion. You want to see the video? Click Here.

The next two Firefly songs are written and we're just finishing the mixing of them. The next one is totally pretty, with violin and guitar. It sounds like The Fallen Stars gone classical! We got violin help from Geo Hennessey.

AND we have two shows this week and they are our last local shows before we go on our European tour. We had planned on having the cd release show for the Firefly album before we left but ̶s̶c̶h̶e̶d̶u̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶a̶ ̶b̶i̶t̶c̶h̶ we ran out of time. We're talking to the good folks over at Comic Book Hideout in Fullerton about having the release show there. Our good friend Glynnes own the Comic Book Hideout and has been a long time Fallen Stars fan and supporter - back when she was a dj in college!

And you know what - we always give away a free track with our emails, if you want a free track ~ shoot me an email and I'll send you whatever song you want!

If any of you are on Tumblr - this is us and this is our band blog and our Firefly blog.

Someone recently told us that we were creating our own sub-category of music: Geek Americana. I thought that was pretty funny.

Really hope to see you this week and if not - stop by and watch/listen to our new song.

Thanks,

Bobbo, Tracy (and sometimes Matt, Brian or Brandon)

*It took 2 deflections to beat Tukka!! Damn.
**we were in there recently and I unintentionally started a great arguement over Spiderman. Logically to me, Spiderman would be filed under "S" ~ EXCEPT that there is "Amazing Spiderman" which is filed under "A", the "Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man" which is under "P", "Web of Spider-Man" is under "W" and so on. I am apparently dumb for thinking all Spider-Man comics go under "S".
